Wesley Heights
Wesley Heights is an affluent neighborhood of northwest, Washington, D.C. It is bordered by New Mexico Avenue (on the East), Nebraska Avenue (on the North), Battery-Kemble Park (on the West) and Glover Parkway (on the South). Foxhall Road is the main roadway passing through Wesley Heights. Although technically not part of Wesley Heights, the neighborhood of Berkley, which lies south of Glover Parkway, is similar in style to Wesley Heights and is often considered informally part of Wesley Heights.
Wesley Heights was developed in the 1920s by W.C. and A.N. Miller, who also developed the neighboring communities of Spring Valley and American University Park. It was one of the first master planned communities in the United States. It remains a wealthy residential enclave of principally large detached homes with some condominium and townhouse options as well. The neighborhood is served by a small commercial mall on New Mexico Avenue with doctors, shops, restaurants and stores. The zip code for the neighborhood is 20016.
