Forest Hills

Forest Hills is a quiet residential neighborhood in northwest Washington, D.C., bounded by Connecticut Avenue NW to the west and Rock Creek Park to the north, east, and south. The neighborhood is sometimes mislabeled as Van Ness, both because of the University of the District of ColumbiaÍs Van Ness campus (UDC) and because it is served by the Van Ness-UDC station on the Metro Red Line.

Forest Hills offers a wide variety of detached homes many of which are quite large and/or on larger lots than found elsewhere in northwest Washington, D.C. The commercial strip along Connecticut Avenue is within walking distance of the neighborhood. Other points of interest include the Howard University School of Law, the Levine School of Music _ one of AmericaÍs leading community music schools, and the Hillwood Museum — the house and collection of Marjorie Merriweather Post. The zip code for the neighborhood is 20008.
